In his first game at Oracle Park, San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello used eight different pitchers against Mexico’s Sultanes de Monterrey to evaluate their roster’s depth for the start of the MLB season.

The Giants offense was hot as they defeated the Sultanes de Monterrey 10-2. Bryce Eldridge hit a towering three-run home run over the left-field wall in the eighth inning, and Tyler Fitzgerald added a two-run homer with two outs left in the inning. Willy Adames chipped in with a solo home run in the sixth, and Jung Hoo Lee contributed an RBI double.

The Giants debuted a new “Gigantes” alternate uniform on Monday which was designed by artist Jesse Hernandez, also known as “Urban Aztec.”

The team’s home opener will be against the New York Yankees on Wednesday evening, with Logan Webb on the mound.
