FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Registration is now open for the Great American Cleanup in Fresno.
As part of Mayor Jerry Dyer’s plan to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, the city is expanding volunteer opportunities by hosting 25 cleanup and beautification sites across town, including the Tower District and Woodward Park.
This year, Beautify Fresno is also joining 25,000 communities across the country with the goal of removing 25 billion pieces of litter by July 4.
Beautify Fresno will provide all the cleanup materials for the event, and each participant gets a free event t-shirt and an invitation to an outdoor “thank you” party in the Fresno Grizzlies’ parking lot.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, between 9 am and 11 am.
