FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The Fresno Police Department announced the results of a street racing crackdown in Fresno.
The operation took place on Sunday with Motor Units monitoring city-wide for illegal street racing and sideshows.
The department said there were some car meet-ups that were civil and did not cross the line.
The few drivers who chose to leave the meet-ups recklessly were stopped by the waiting officers.
The department released the following results of the Street Racing and Sideshow Enforcement:
48 Citations (That’s a lot of paperwork)10 Towed Cars (Hope you like walking)4 DUI Arrests (Don’t. Just don’t.)
Police remind you that if you race, sideshow, spin donuts, film donuts, cheer on donuts, or otherwise contribute to donutrelated chaos, your car may be impounded for 30 days.
Fresno is NOT the place for illegal street stunts.
