Solana Beach Historical Society offers scholarships

The Solana Beach Civic & Historical Society offers two $3,500 scholarships for high school students or adult learners to help finance college, graduate school or technical school tuition. Applicants must be current residents with home addresses in Solana Beach and have a grade-point average of at least 2.5 on a four-point scale, or equivalent. Carmel Valley’s Spring Egg Hunt

Kids are invited to bring their own basket for a fun afternoon at the city of San Diego’s Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28 at the Ocean Air Park and Recreation Center.The free event from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ocean Air park kicks off with a magic show at 9 a.m., egg hunts broken up by age group with activities like a bounce house, class demos, arts and crafts and a live DJ. April is National Head and Neck Cancer Month, and Scripps Cancer Center will host a free support group specifically for patients affected by these cancer types.
