Person dies in San Francisco house fire, officials said

A person was found dead inside a home that caught fire in the Portola neighborhood on Tuesday night, the San Francisco Fire Department said. 

The San Francisco Fire Department responded to a single-alarm fire on the 500 block of Dwight St., the department said in a social media post. 

Firefighters put out the fire, but one person was declared dead on the scene.
