HUNTINGTON PARK – Community members will address the Huntington Park city council, asking for the removal of Councilman Arturo Flores after a woman came forward alleging sexual assault.

Fatima Rodriguez-Ortiz filed the order against Flores on Dec. 18, 2025. It was made public on a Facebook page dedicated to exposing government-related issues.

According to the minute order published to the court’s website on January 8, 2026, Rodriguez-Ortiz declined to move forward with her restraining order request.

The community believes city manager Ricardo Reyes covered the matter up, and they are now seeking the removal of both.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office confirmed to 2 Urban Girls there are no criminal charges pending against Flores, according to the department’s public information officer.

The community plans to address their concerns during today’s scheduled city council meeting that begins at 6:00 p.m.
