ORANGEVALE, Calif. — Two cars were destroyed in a garage following a house fire in Orangevale, according to Sacramento Metro Fire. 

Capt. Mark Nunez with Metro Fire said the fire was reported before 5 p.m. at 8625 Quail Oak Way. The fire began in the garage and spread through the home. 

Two people were inside the home when they heard an explosion or popping sound in the garage. They were able to get out of home and call 911. 

The garage was destroyed along with the two cars. Nunez added that the attic and kitchen were severely damaged. 

No one was hurt in the fire. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
