A minor earthquake struck near Davis in Yolo County on Wednesday morning.
The quake hit around 8:04 a.m. and was centered in a rural area just west of the city, near County Road 98 and Russell Boulevard.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, it measured magnitude 2.9 and struck at a depth of about 4.1 kilometers.

Likely due to its low magnitude, and the rural area where it was centered, the USGS has not received any reports of shaking.
