SAN JOSE, Calif. – Santa Clara women’s tennis faced the singles players from UC Davis and the doubles teams of tournament host San Jose State, picking up a win each on the second day at the San Jose State Hidden Dual on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The hidden dual format includes singles against one team and doubles against a different team each day during the three day tournament. The teams will lineup and play similar to a team dual match like in the spring season but there is no team scoring, only individual wins and losses.
For the second day in a row the doubles team of Madhu Satishbabu and Juliette Krumholz won a match, this time taking down Tara Mihaljevic and Katarina Brajovic 6-1.
In singles, Jamie Pope took care of Sophia Sappa 6-3, 6-2.
Krumholz pushed Isabella Bringas to three sets in her singles match before falling 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-0.
