FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man was hospitalized after getting stabbing during a road rage incident Wednesday afternoon in Central Fresno.

Police say the incident began shortly after 3:00 p.m. near Blackstone Avenue and Dakota Avenue.

During a confrontation, a man in his mid-30s is believed to have pulled out a knife and stabbed another man in his mid-50s once in the chest.

After the stabbing, the victim followed the suspect in his vehicle to the area of Shields Avenue and West Avenue, where officers were able to detain the suspect.

The victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment, where he’s expected to recovery.

No further details about the suspect’s identity or charges have been released at this time.
