Crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials fire at an Audi dealership in Santa Clarita Wednesday night.
Calls about the blaze at Audi Valencia in the 23900 block of West Creekside Road came in just before 6:30 p.m., fire officials confirmed to KTLA.
Footage of the incident captured from across the street at a Ford lot and posted to Citizen showed flames coming from the dealership’s service area.

Preliminary, though unconfirmed, information suggested that the fire may have been coming from an electrical vehicle on the lot with lithium-ion batteries, prompting the HAZMAT response.

These types of fires can be particularly difficult to extinguish and can release toxic gases.
County fire crews were able to get the blaze extinguished, though the amount of damage the vehicle and the dealership sustained is unknown at this time.
