CUPERTINO, CA — A dancing robot was captured on video causing mayhem recently at a Cupertino hot pot restaurant, according to reports.

The incident occurred at Haidilao in Cupertino, The Mercury News reported.

In the roughly two-minute video from @meooow via Storyful, published by Fox Business, the humanoid robot is seen wearing an apron that says, “I’m good,” while dancing near a table, when its moves send chopsticks flying, it dips its hand in sauce and dishes are heard clanging from impact.

A worker immediately grabs the robot from behind but is unable to subdue it for over a minute, even with the aid of two more human colleagues, the video shows.

An employee told The Mercury News the incident was due to human error and that the robot, which is programmed to entertain diners, was directed to do a “crazy dance.”

The restaurant chain told NBC News in a statement that “the robot was brought closer to a dining table at a guest’s request, which is not its typical operating setting.”
