Bakersfield police investigate death of woman found with severe injuries

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the death of a woman who was found with severe injuries in east Bakersfield.

According to BPD, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 7000 block of College Avenue at 9:47 p.m.

Officers arrived to find a woman with severe injuries. She was taken to Kern Medical where she later died.

BPD said this is an active investigation.
