Where to Eat and Drink for Dodgers Opening Day: LA’s Top 2026 Specials.

Echo Park’s unofficial “living room” is reopening its doors just in time for the first pitch of the Dodgers MLB season.

The Holloway, a staple of the neighborhood’s social scene, will officially relaunch on Thursday, March 26, at 1320 Echo Park Ave. The reopening is strategically timed to coincide with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Opening Day, repositioning the venue as a refined yet relaxed community hub for the historic Eastside district.

The redesigned space shifts away from its previous iteration toward a “clubhouse-style” aesthetic. The interior now features deep green hues, warm wood accents, and expanded seating designed to encourage long-form conversation. According to the owners, the refresh aims to reflect a bar that has “grown up” alongside the evolving Echo Park community.

Opening Day Festivities

The March 26 grand opening begins at noon, transitioning from a sports-focused afternoon to a nightlife atmosphere. Highlights include:

Live Broadcasts: The Dodgers’ season opener will be streamed on multiple screens inside the bar and across the outdoor patios.

Launch Specials: “Opening weekend” drink discounts will be available throughout the day.

Evening Entertainment: Local DJ programming will follow the conclusion of the game.

The relaunch features a three-day series of events curated to re-engage different segments of the neighborhood:

Friday: A dedicated “Industry and Locals Night” featuring an extended happy hour for hospitality workers.

Saturday: “The Clubhouse” event, focusing on the local nightlife community with a full bar program and guest DJs.

Sunday: “Neighborhood Recovery” sessions, including a DIY Bloody Mary bar and brunch service.

Beyond the opening festivities, The Holloway’s owners emphasized a commitment to localism. The bar plans to maintain ongoing partnerships with Eastside artists, musicians, and vendors to ensure the space remains a consistent anchor for the neighborhood.

Local culinary favorites La Sorteds and Cafe Tropical have teamed up to relaunch the “Visitor Dog Series” just in time for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ season opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The limited-edition collaboration kicks off with Sonoran Dogs. The dish features a bacon-wrapped hot dog served on a fresh-baked bolillo roll from Cafe Tropical, which is drenched in enchilada sauce and grilled. You can find the Sonoran Dogs at La Sorteds Chinatown location at 984 N Broadway.

The elevated stadium-style offering is topped with refried black beans, diced tomatoes, onions, a house-made jalapeño relish, yellow mustard, and garlic aioli. The hot dog is designed to celebrate the intersection of baseball culture and Los Angeles’ diverse food scene, offering fans a gourmet alternative to traditional ballpark fare during the home stand.

It’s also meant to taste really good.

Mexico City’s famous churro tradition will meet Major League Baseball as Churreria El Moro launches a special promotion to celebrate the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home opener.

The family-owned institution, which has operated since 1935, will debut a “surprise” offering for baseball fans tomorrow at its Echo Park location at 1524 Sunset Blvd. The historic brand has officially joined in with the local community’s excitement for the start of the 2026 baseball season.

While specific details of the promotion remain under wraps, the Echo Park outpost is expected to feature its signature handmade churros and traditional Mexican chocolate alongside the Opening Day festivities. The brand, which gained international acclaim after its founding in Mexico City (CDMX), has become a fixture of Echo Park.
