OAKLAND — Two men were shot — one multiple times —  less than 15 minutes apart Wednesday night in different areas of the city, authorities said.

Both men were in stable condition and police said the shootings are not related.

About 9:41 p.m. Wednesday a 38-year-old man was shot at least twice outside in the 300 block of Lancaster Street in the Jingletown area.

According to initial police reports, the man was shot by another man he had gotten into a dispute with.  What the dispute was about and whether the man knew the shooter have not been determined.

The shooter fled the scene on a motorcycle.  A detailed description of him was not released.

About 9:54 p.m. a 37-year-old man was shot outside in the 4400 block of MacArthur Boulevard near his home, authorities said.

According to initial police reports the man was shot after getting into a dispute of some kind with another man.  It was not immediately known if the man shot knew the shooter who fled in a vehicle.
