SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A pedestrian was critically injured in a crash near Florin Road and 29th Street on Wednesday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian just before 10 p.m. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police say there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
Due to the severity of the injuries, detectives from the Major Crimes Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Investigators responded to process the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and no further details about the pedestrian’s condition have been released.
