A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday in the Point Loma Heights neighborhood, San Diego police said.
The man was hit by a car around 2 a.m. as he was walking east in the fast lane of West Point Loma Boulevard near Famousa Boulevard. Police said he died before he could be taken to a hospital.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris, a 40-year-old man, was not injured. Investigators said drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the collision.
The name of the man who died was not released. No other details were immediately available.
