The Henderson Silver Knights won their fourth straight game defeating the San Diego Gulls, 5-2, on Saturday night at Lee’s Family Forum.

HOW IT WENT DOWN

San Diego took an early 1-0 lead when Yegor Sidorov scored a power play goal eight minutes into the contest. Henderson tied the game 10 minutes later when Jonas Rondbjerg found the back of the net. 40 seconds later, Ben Hemmerling scored his first goal of the year to give Henderson a 2-1 lead going into the intermission. In the dying seconds of the middle period, Raphael Lavoie scored a power play goal to take a 3-1 lead into the intermission. 27 second into the third period, Lukas Cormier score his first goal of the season to take a commanding 4-1 lead. Matyas Sapovaliv became the third Silver Knight to score his first goal of the season when he gave Henderson a 5-2 lead midway through the third. Following a brief 6-on-4 for San Diego, the Silver Knights secured the 5-2 win.
