FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Two teenagers who were shot and killed in northeast Fresno on early Monday morning have been identified.

Fresno police say the deadly shooting happened around 1:30 in the morning near San Jose and 4th, just a block away from an elementary school and Hoover High School.

Detectives say Lloyd and Smith were a part of a group of four teens targeted in the shooting. A 14-year-old member of the group was also injured in the shooting.
Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto said in a news conference on Monday that the incident appears to be an intentional attack.
“There is gang involvement. Whether it was motivated, I don’t know,” she said.
Lloyd’s and Smith’s deaths are the 8th and 9th homicides in the city this year. Last year, Fresno had four murders.
