A hit-and-run collision in Oakland has left a 59-year-old Concord man in critical condition, authorities said.
The man was crossing a street in Uptown when he was struck at around 5:58 p.m. Wednesday by a motorist who kept going after the collision.
Authorities said the man was transported to a hospital with a fractured skull, broken leg and other injuries. He remained in critical condition Thursday evening.
The collision occurred near the 400 block of 23rd Street, near Broadway, authorities said. The driver of the silver Hyundai Elantra was last seen traveling north on nearby Valley Street.
Police announced no arrests as of Thursday evening.
