Antoinette Fitzgerald
OBITUARY
Ann was born in San Jose to Joe and Rose Cala. She went to Grant School, Peter Burnett Junior High School and graduated from San Jose High School and Heald’s Business College. In 1945 Ann met Randy Fitzgerald, and in 1946 became a wife, then mother. After raising her children, Ann went to work in retail, and was a clerk until she retired in 1991. Ann was committed to family, friends and community. She was active at Holy Cross Church, and was President of the Holy Cross Ladies Guild. Ann was a member and Recording Secretary for the Italian Catholic Federation, Branch 4. She was active in the Trabia Club, the St. Christopher’s Over 50’s and a member of the Retail Clerks retirees.
Ann is predeceased by her parents, husband Randy Fitzgerald, and daughter Beverly Maloney. Also brother Vince Cala, sister Carmie Ales, and nephew Michael Cala. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Fitzgerald, granddaughter Dina Faris (Todd), great granddaughter Ashley Figone and great grandson Alonso Mira Figone and Fernando Mira. She is also survived by her niece Rosemary Torrisi (Mark), niece Georgene Ales, great niece Shannon Claude (Nick), great niece Jessica Claude (Victor) great great nephew Vincent Hathaway.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary and Funeral Mass on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 580 Jackson Street, San Jose. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
