FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The Fresno Chaffee Zoo board has approved the initial design for a new zoo entrance.
The project will now move forward to the next phase of construction planning.
The design aims to blend regional features of the Sierra Nevada.
Renderings show guests at the Foothills-inspired plaza walking through a forest canopy to the front entrance and into the zoo along a river path.
There’s still no date on when the project will be completed.
