A stranded hiker was rescued from Black Star Canyon in Orange County, California, on Tuesday, March 24, officials said.
The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) dispatched a helicopter to assist the hiker, who was uninjured but unable to make it out on his own.
Footage released by the agency shows crews using a “hot seat” harness to airlift the hiker to safety.
“If you’re heading into the backcountry and run into trouble — we’ve got your back!” the agency wrote on Facebook. Credit: Orange County Fire Authority via Storyful
