FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Golden Charter Academy is opening its doors to the community this Saturday, offering families a first look at its new campus while sharing enrollment opportunities for the upcoming school year.
The event will give attendees an inside look at the academy’s brand-new, state-of-the-art campus as the school prepares to move into the facility ahead of the fall 2026 school year.
Families will have the opportunity to learn how to enroll in the free public charter school, with priority access available for neighborhood residents. School leaders will also provide updates on the new campus and what students and families can expect in the future.
In addition to enrollment information, the event will include free food box giveaways, snow cones, and a variety of local food trucks and vendors.
Golden Charter Academy is known for its unique approach to education, focusing on environmental stewardship, equity, and hands-on learning. The TK-8 school partners with the Fresno Chaffee Zoo to provide students with immersive, real-world educational experiences that integrate core subjects such as language arts, math, science, and humanities.
School officials say the new campus, located across from the zoo, will serve as a hub for community engagement and experiential learning.
The school will host the Community Enrollment Day on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at its new location on North Pacific Avenue in Fresno.
