BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — High pressure has been with us in one shape or form for what seems like months, and when you consider that the last time Bakersfield received measurable rain was back on February 19th that sentiment makes sense.
A warmer weekend is back in our forecast and while it’s probably not going to hold a candle to the numbers of our previous one, there is a chance that South Valley highs could approach a daily record yet again. It was 88 back on 1893 at Meadows Field on March 28. Saturday’s forecast: the afternoon temperatures might not be too far off.
So, will we set another record high this weekend? Will we close out March with no rain in Bakersfield? Will temperatures finally lower to “below average” levels next week? As the forecast goes: there is a CHANCE!

Have a great day.
