On March 1, I parked at Balboa Park to attend a play. The multiple kiosks that I attempted to pay at were not functioning properly.

On Balboa Drive, I tried a kiosk several times with three different credit cards, with all attempts declined. I went to a different kiosk on 6th Avenue and the same thing occurred. I tried a third kiosk, still no success. No one from the city was available to help.

After having tried to pay for parking for about 30 minutes, I had to leave my car and deal with it later. Others were also having the same issue. I did receive a parking citation.

I had been to the park two weeks prior and paid at the kiosk without problems, so I know I was doing it correctly. The city is doing harm to itself and to Balboa Park with this kind of ineptitude.
