Five people were injured early Friday in a stabbing during a fight inside a business in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded around 2:10 a.m. to reports of an altercation on the 3900 block of Geary Boulevard, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
A person got into a verbal dispute with several people inside the business, which police didn’t identify. The argument quickly turned physical, and “multiple victims were assaulted by the suspect with a knife,” police said in a statement.
Four victims were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A fifth person was treated at the scene, also for non-life-threatening wounds.
As of late Friday morning, no arrests had been made, and investigators were still working to determine what led to the confrontation.
Authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the San Francisco Police Department’s tip line at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411, beginning the message with SFPD.
