LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A ground stop was issued Sunday morning for flights departing to LAX due to staffing issues.
The restriction covered most of the Southern California region.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the ground stop should be lifted by 10:30 a.m. Even after flights resume, there will likely be delays, so travelers are encouraged to monitor their flight status.
Air traffic controllers across the country have been working without pay amid the government shutdown.
