Fire reported on Los Angeles St. in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Emergency crews have responded to a house fire on Los Angeles Street in Springfield.

This was around 3 p.m. Monday.

According to Captain Drew Piemonte with the Springfield Fire Department, firefighters have been able to knock down the flames.

Our crew on scene can see multiple fire crews working with a ladder extended up to the second floor of the house.

We’re told firefighters went into the house to check for anyone inside, but at this time it appears no one was home.

Further details weren’t immediately available, however the Western Mass News crew remains on scene and will continue to gather information.
