TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A basement fire was reported late Monday in the Oakland neighborhood of northeast Topeka.
The fire was reported around 11:30 p.m. Monday at 619 N.E. Forest Ave.

First-arriving crews reported finding light smoke coming from the residence.
After making entry, firefighters located a working fire in the basement and quickly extinguished it.
The cause of the fire was listed as undetermined on Tuesday morning.
