OCVibe officials unveiled this week designs and renderings for the network of parks and plazas that will be included in the 100-acre entertainment and residential district now under construction around the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The multibillion-dollar project that developers are promoting as Orange County’s new downtown comes with 3 miles of walkable trails traversing 20 acres of open space and connecting to dining and destinations, including a planned outdoor public art gallery. OCVibe will also build 1,500 residential units, two hotels and more than 1 million square feet of office space.

Blueprints for OCVibe map out four parks and plazas: the riverfront Meadow Park; the Neighborhood Park, which will be nestled between the six residential buildings; the South Plaza in the heart of the district; and the Urban Park that will be anchored by the Honda Center and the new retail and dining offerings.

“Great parks and plazas build strong communities, and the network of open spaces OCVibe is bringing to Southern California represents our long-term commitment to the health and resiliency of the Anaheim community,” said Brian Myers, a senior director on the development team at OCVIBE.

“From the very beginning, we envisioned spaces that encourage wellness, celebrate art and culture, and foster connection,” he said. “Our hope is that these spaces will bring inspiration to Orange County residents for generations to come.”

The first public plaza is working toward an early 2027 opening, alongside a new 5,000-seat concert hall and Katella Commons, OCVibe’s dining hall.
