A man was hospitalized after being stabbed near a Metro A Line station in Long Beach Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the area of Pacific Avenue and 5th Street after receiving the stabbing report around 5 a.m., a Long Beach Police Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.

The victim was found at the scene with stab wounds to his upper body, according to the spokesperson.

The unidentified man was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

Sky5 was over the scene shortly after 7 a.m., where a train could be seen stopped at the Metro station. The northbound lanes on Pacific Avenue were closed between 4th and 5th streets during the investigation.

No suspect description or motive for the stabbing was released.
