BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A bipartisan California gubernatorial candidate forum will be held on April 1 in Fresno, as well as a second Central Valley forum later that evening.

The Bipartisan California Gubernatorial Candidate Forum: Affordability and Rural California is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 1st, in Fresno from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Those scheduled to take part in the debate are:

Republican Steve Hilton, author and contributor, Fox News ChannelRepublican Chad Bianco, sheriff of Riverside CountyDemocrat Katie Porter, a former member of the U.S. House of RepresentativesDemocrat Xavier Becerra, attorney and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human ServicesDemocrat Antonio Villaraigosa, former mayor of Los AngelesDemocrat Matt Mahan, mayor of San Jose

The forum will be moderated by former California Assembly Minority Leader Kristin Olsen-Cate and Fresno County Supervisor Buddy Mendes.

The forum is hosted by the Maddy Institute, Western Growers, Agricultural Council of California, and California Farm Bureau.

Meanwhile, the UC Merced Community and Labor Center and the Central Valley Worker Coalition will also host a forum April 1st in Fresno at 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
