LOS ANGELES — There was a ground stop in place for Los Angeles International Airport due to staffing issues on Sunday morning, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Delays as of shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday averaged 49 minutes, according to the FAA, with some as high as an hour and 40 minutes.

The stop began at 8:45 a.m., was lifted at 10:30 a.m., and only affected flights between Los Angeles and Oakland International Airport, due to staffing issues in Oakland, according to the on-duty public information officer for LAX.
