The San Francisco music festival at Golden Gate Park, set for Aug. 7-9, is launching the SOMA Social Club for attendees who want an elevated Marx Meadow experience.
Perks of the 21-and-older lounge include premium bottle service, unobstructed views of the SOMA stage — introduced in 2021 — complimentary snacks, upgraded bathrooms and dedicated waitstaff and concierge service.
Members will also receive access to all of the festival’s other VIP sections, excluding GA+ and the Golden Gate Club, in addition to a reserved on-site parking and golf cart transportation between the SOMA and Lands End VIP sections.
While the price to become a SOMA Social Club member is not listed online, those interested are directed to contact organizers online.
SOMA Social Club is the latest offering among a growing slate of luxury experiences at the music festival, produced by Berkeley-based Another Planet Entertainment. In 2019, Outside Lands established the Golden Gate Club, charging more than $5,000 for a three-day pass, plus access to such amenities as celebrity chef meet-and-greets alongside gourmet food and drink offerings, a skydeck lounge, a coat check, and more.
Two years ago, organizers also expanded the festival’s caviar offerings outside of the Golden Gate Club, so general admission pass holders could purchase the delicacy throughout the festival grounds.
Earlier this week, the festival announced the lineup for its SOMA stage, which features artists such as 1-800 Girls, Boyz Noise, Boris Brejcha, Carlita and Miss Monique. Organizers also touted upgraded audio, lighting and visual effects in the outdoor space.
Rock group the Strokes, “Brat” pop star Charli XCX and electronic trio Rüfüs Du Sol are this year’s headliners, joining a lineup of acts such as R&B artist and producer Dijon, singer-songwriter Audrey Hobert, recently reunited duo Clipse, and rapper Baby Keem on the bill.
General admission, GA+ and VIP three-day passes have already sold out. Three-day Golden Gate Club tickets and single day passes are still available.
