San Francisco’s first entertainment zone has regularly hosted free block parties since it first opened. A series of parties on Friday evenings drew large crowds with live music and games, and the block recently hosted a popular Oktoberfest party. Now, the San Franciscans can enjoy a lively free block party at the entertainment zone on Halloween.
Nightmare on Front Street will take over the entertainment zone on Halloween, Friday, October 31, from 4 to 10 pm. Attendees can expect Live DJs, themed food and drinks, and even costume contests at the block party. DJ Clayton William is set to perform as the main act for the party. The Bay Area DJ and producer has been nominated for a Grammy and worked with major names in the industry, including Justin Bieber, E-40, and more. You can expect him to mix dance hits that combine hip hop, Latin, and pop music at the party. DJ David Carvalho is also set to perform at the spooky event.

Partygoers are encouraged to wear their best costumes, especially if they want to enter one of the three costume contests. You can compete for the scariest, funniest, and most creative costume during the Halloween party. Bars on the block will join the fun with themed drinks, including Schroeder’s, Harrington’s Bar & Grill, and Royal Exchange.
The block parties in the entertainment zone have been largely deemed a success by organizers due to their positive impact on the surrounding businesses. The party is organized by Founders Bay and the Downtown SF Partnership. The event is open to all ages, and those 21 and over can enjoy to-go drinks from the local bars within the entertainment zone.
