All season long, the San Jose Sharks have valued fresh legs on the second half of a back-to-back, and Thursday’s game remains no different.
After returning from a torn PCL that had him out since January 6th, Sharks forward Ty Dellandrea won’t play on Thursday. Head coach Ryan Warsofsky confirmed to reporters that Dellandrea has a scheduled game off as part of his rehab plan.
The San Jose Sharks weren’t even sure whether Dellandrea would play on Wednesday. Forward Igor Chernyshov had fallen ill and was not able to suit up. Going into Wednesday’s game, Chernyshov was listed as a game-time decision, and that remains the case for Thursday’s matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Chernyshov did take the ice during an optional morning skate. If Chernyshov can’t go for a second straight night, Philipp Kurashev will enter the San Jose Sharks lineup for the first time since March 21st.
Nedeljkovic will start. Chernyshov is a GTD and will take warmup. If he can’t go Kurashev will play not Dellandrea. This was a planned day off for Dellandrea with his injury return. #SJSharks

Sharks forward Pavol Regenda will be a healthy scratch for a fourth consecutive game. The Olympian got off to a hot start with his goal scoring once he earned the call-up, but has since fallen out of favor. Regenda has played just six of 17 games since the Olympic break.
Despite having nine goals in 22 games, the Sharks winger can’t seem to find his way into Warsofsky’s lineup. When pressed as to why Kurashev would play over Regenda, Warsofsky was short with his answer.
“That’s what we decided. Not going to get into it,” Warsofsky said,
The Sharks are looking for their fourth straight win and currently sit one point behind the Los Angeles Kings for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference. San Jose has a game in hand over LA.
