BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A crew with Dirt Worx Construction was seen removing a Cesar Chavez mural in downtown Bakersfield Friday morning.

Photos show a crew member standing on a lift removing part of the mural that was placed on the side of a business on M Street near 18th Street.

The mural was found defaced Thursday after a surge of allegations against the late labor rights leader surfaced in March.
