A vegetation fire is burning near the 500 block of La Moree Road in San Marcos.
CAL FIRE San Diego and the San Diego County Fire Protection District are responding to the call, which came in just after 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Sheriff’s Department says deputies are helping evacuate residences in the immediate area. The temporary evacuation point is open at Mission Hills High School.
If you live in San Marcos, be aware of increased law enforcement and firefighting activity. A fire is burning near the 500 block of La Moree Road.
