BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — April is usually a time for warmer weather across the region and Sunday’s forecast is no exception. The drastic changes Kern County experienced during the very last week of March are transitioning into a quieter weather scene for the new month just beginning.

A ridge of high pressure is forecast to be in place which is a recipe for warm and quiet weather.

Some computer models are suggesting more troughiness developing eventually along the West Coast, which would lead to more changes for regional weather, but the details are still a bit sketchy and very much “up in the air”.
