Police are investigating after possible human remains were found in Long Beach on Sunday.

The discovery was made in the 5900 block of De Forest Avenue at around 5 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office responded due to the circumstances, police said.
