BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Three adults and a juvenile are facing charges after an altercation Sunday involving residents in a south Bakersfield neighborhood and the occupants of a vehicle resulted in injuries including “minor gunshot wounds,” according to Bakersfield Police Department.
Officers were called to the 4700 block of Half Dome Way, south of White Lane and east of Hughes Lane, at about 4:48 p.m. to a report of a shooting, police said
They learned there had been ongoing issues between the residents and people who arrived in a vehicle, according to BPD.
A juvenile and adult who were in possession of guns had minor injuries, police said, while others inside a home had gunshot wounds. All were taken to hospitals.
It was unclear from the release how many people were injured.
Officers obtained a warrant to search two homes, found more guns and arrested two adults, according to BPD. They were booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and gun-related crimes.
The juvenile and adult who were arrested will be booked on suspicion of similar crimes once medically cleared, police said.
The release did not name the suspects.
