Bondi Sushi Expands to Oakland Park with Its Largest Location Yet
New flagship brings high-quality sushi, inventive cocktails, and laid-back Japanese dining to Broward County
OAKLAND PARK, FL – October 22, 2025 – Bondi Sushi, the beloved New York–founded concept known for its craveable sushi, high-quality fish, and relaxed coastal aesthetic, is making its Broward County debut on October 29 with the opening of its newest and largest location yet in Oakland Park.
The highly anticipated expansion marks a milestone for the brand — blending Bondi’s signature fine-casual charm with an elevated dining experience. The new restaurant features a sushi bar, expansive indoor and outdoor seating, and the debut of The Bar at Bondi, a standalone cocktail bar developed in collaboration with Shinji’s, named among the Top 100 Cocktail Bars in North America.
“Oakland Park represents a pivotal moment for Bondi — it’s not just a new location, it’s the next evolution of who we are as a brand,” said David Hess, CEO of Bondi Sushi. “We’ve taken everything our guests love about Bondi — the energy, accessibility, and craft — and layered in creativity and refinement. From our expanded menu to our partnership with Shinji’s, this space is designed to surprise and delight.”
Menu Highlights: Elevated Japanese Dining Meets Fine-Casual Fun
Bondi’s menu celebrates premium seafood and seasonal ingredients, blending traditional Japanese techniques with modern creativity. Guests can enjoy:
Premium nigiri, sashimi, and signature sushi rolls
Exclusive handrolls available only at the omakase bar

New specialties debuting in Oakland Park include Wagyu Sliders and Lobster Tacos
The Bar at Bondi: Cocktails with a Japanese Twist
Bondi’s new bar program, led by Jonathan Adler, Beverage Director at Shinji’s, blends Japanese ingredients with world-class mixology. The menu reimagines classic cocktails with signature flair, including:
Cherry Blossom Martini – vodka/gin, salted cherry-infused shochu, vermouth

A curated mocktail list features drinks like the Sparkling Yuzu Lemonade, made with yuzu purée, sparkling water, and mint.
Design: Bright, Airy, and Artistically Grounded
At 2,100 square feet indoors and 800 square feet outdoors, Bondi Sushi Oakland Park is the brand’s largest and most design-forward location.
The restaurant centers around its open sushi bar, allowing guests to watch chefs prepare sushi, sashimi, and robata dishes. Key design features include:
A 16-foot handmade tile installation by NYC artist Allison Eden
Fortuny silk lighting imported from Italy
Lush floratoriums and sleek banquette seating
Day-to-night ambiance with curated playlists by local DJs
A dedicated takeout enclave will also offer Bondi’s signature combo boxes, rice bowls, and matcha beverages from Iceberg’s Brewing, the brand’s in-house coffee and matcha bar.
“Oakland Park felt like the perfect next chapter for Bondi,” said Aiden Carty, COO of Bondi Sushi. “It’s a creative, growing neighborhood that aligns perfectly with our mission to make great food fun, unpretentious, and memorable.”
