The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Monday to $4.634, the second increase in three days following a run of 10 decreases in 11 days totaling 8.3 cents.
The run ended with an increase of one-tenth of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped three-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The average price is 4.4 cents less than one week ago and 9.2 cents lower than one month ago but 8.7 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.859 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
A run of 12 decreases in 13 days to the Orange County average price totaling 10.7 cents ended with an increase of a half-cent to $4.584. It dropped six consecutive days, was unchanged last Monday and resumed falling Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 5.9 cents less than one week ago and 11.3 cents lower than one month ago but 11.7 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.874 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.052, the fourth consecutive decrease following a three-day streak of increases totaling 3.4 cents. The average price has dropped 1.9 cents over the past four days, including six-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The national average price is 1.6 cents more than one week ago but 8.6 cents less than one month ago and 7.8 lower than one week ago. It has dropped $1.964 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
