LA PUENTE, CA — A man was killed Sunday morning after an altercation at a Halloween party in La Puente, authorities said.
The death was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Third Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene in response to an assault call.
“The victim and suspect were involved in a physical altercation at a Halloween party,” the department said in a statement. “The physical altercation rendered the victim unconscious.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information was immediately provided.
