Sara Jane Sherman, Emmy winning voice director, voice over artist, and casting directors will speak at the USC Trojan Affiliates Year End Celebration on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Her topic will share her experiences in the field and how one can get into her line of work. The meeting will take place at Gale’s Restaurant, 452 South Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, 91105 between 6:00-9:00 p.m. with the program and dinner. The program will include with an Installation of the 2026-2027 Board.

Sara is an Emmy Winning Voice Director and a three-time Emmy Nominated Casting Director. She is currently casting and/or voice directing on projects for Apple, Netflix, Nickelodeon, Disney TV Animation, Fox, Cartoon Network, Warner Bros, Adult Swim, and Max.

Some of her recent projects include: Rick and Morty, Spiderman: Freshman Year, Animaniacs, The Cuphead Show, Ad Show, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes Cartoons, My Dad The Bounty Hunter, Krapopolis, Hamster and Gretel, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Over.

Prior to starting her own company, Sara was Jon Stewart’s Head of Casting for his animated project with HBO. However, the majority of her casting career was at Disney Television Animation, where she spent twelve years learning how to cast an animated series. She was the Executive Director of Casting and Talent Relations before leaving at the beginning of 2017. She has worked on such hit shows as Big Hero 6: The Series, Tangles Ever After, Milo Murphy’s Law, Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, and Star vs the Forces of Evil. Her credits also include Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Yin, Yang, Yo, Fish Hooks, Club Penguin, Wander Over Younder, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce GO!, and many, many pilots.

Prior to joining Disney, Sara worked in development at Klasky Csupo known for Rugrats and As Told By Ginger and at Gullane Entertainment known for Thomas The Tank Engine.

She started her career as Steven Bochco’s production assistant after attending the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.

Sara resides in the Los Angeles area.

The members of USC Trojan Affiliates invite all interested women to attend this special evening, to be entertained by Sarah Jane Sherman, install the 2026-2027 Board of Directors, hear a review of the activities for Trojan Affiliates for 2025-2026, to recognize the new 2025-2026 members, and to make new friends. USC Trojan Affiliates, a women’s organization located in the San Gabriel Valley, supports the University of Southern California and welcomes all interested women to attend its meetings and events. All women parents, alumna, and friends of USC are encouraged to attend. Meetings are usually held the first Thursday evening in October, November, February, March, and May. The first meeting of the 2026-2027 year will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Cynthia Wiese and Megan Tancredi of Pasadena, will serve in their second year as Co-Presidents and will be installed again at the meeting. The Board includes members living throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
