The City of South Pasadena, South Pasadena Beautiful, and Friends of South Pas Nature Park invite the community to the 2026 Sustainability Fair and Plant Swap on Saturday, April 11, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Arroyo Seco Woodland & Wildlife Park.

Sustainability Fair & Local Experts

Meet with the City of South Pasadena’s sustainability team to discuss crucial programs aimed at enhancing our local environmental initiatives.

Connect with members of various environmental organizations to gain practical insights on how to adopt a more eco-friendly lifestyle right here at home.

Annual Plant Swap

South Pasadena Beautiful is hosting its popular annual plant swap, and the public is encouraged to participate by bringing a labeled, potted plant to exchange.

Local nurseries have generously donated native and low-water-use plants to ensure a diverse selection for all attendees.

“This event is a wonderful way for our community to learn how to live lightly on the land while sharing the beauty of our local flora,” noted one event organizer.

Waste Collection Workshop

Last year, the city introduced new rules for three-stream waste collection to improve our local footprint.

If you are unsure which bin to use, experts will be on-site to answer questions and provide the information you need to sort your waste correctly.

Park Tours & Family Activities

Garden Tour: Take a stroll with volunteers to visit the new micro-forest and the site of a future rain garden.

Youth Activities: Kids can follow the interactive Story Path or embark on a Nature Scavenger Hunt.
