I know Halloween is the next holiday coming up, but our weather for the next week or so will be more like the movie Groundhog Day, where it just keeps repeating itself over and over and over. Considering how nice our weather has been recently, that’s not a bad thing.

We enjoyed a mix of sun and clouds around central California on Sunday, with highs warming to a beautiful 73 in Merced and Visalia, 74 in Fresno and Hanford, and 75 in Madera and Porterville. A good onshore wind push on Monday, which will bring a little of the cool air from the Pacific into the Valley, should lead to slightly cooler temperatures Monday.

High pressure will strengthen over California through the week, sending any stormy weather in the Pacific well to our north. The atmosphere will dry out enough over California so that Valley fog won’t be a major concern for us, either. So, we’ll be left with mostly sunny skies this week, with highs in the middle to upper 70’s from Tuesday through this weekend.

Halloween should be a warm day, with highs warming into the upper 70’s. The last time that happened was… just 2 years ago! Fresno had a Halloween high of 78 in 2023, and we’ll be very close to that again this Friday.

Don’t forget – Daylight Saving Time ends next Sunday. We’ll Fall Back, so we’ll get an extra hour of sleep. Unless you have toddlers in your house, then you’ll be up at their usual time.

Long range models are keeping us dry through at least Veterans Day. Good thing we picked up a lot of rain (1.18″ in Fresno) earlier this month.
