With this summer’s World Cup fast approaching, the Bay Area Host Committee has announced Fan Zones, free venues for public viewing of matches that span more than 30 locations from San Francisco to Santa Cruz.
Starting on June 11, the following locations will serve as Fan Zones for all matches, including the ones played in Santa Clara. Levi’s Stadium is set to host six World Cup matches.
San Francisco: Thrive City at Chase Center, China Basin Park at Mission Rock, Pier 39, Yerba Buena Lane, the Midway, and the Crossing at East Cut.
East Bay: Alameda County Fair Grounds (Pleasanton), Raimondi Park (Oakland), downtown Oakland, Hoffmann Theater at Lesher Center for the Arts (Walnut Creek), SS Red Oak Victory Historic Ship (Richmond), and East Brother Beer Company (Richmond).
South Bay: San Jose Earthquakes Soccer Celebration at San Pedro Square, the Row Cup at Santana Row (San Jose), Civic Center Plaza (Milpitas), Milpitas Community Center, Morgan Hill, and Cityline Redwood Square (Sunnyvale).
North Bay: Sausalito, Napa Valley, and Santa Rosa.
The Peninsula: Courthouse Square (Redwood City), Central Park (San Mateo), Wheeler Parking Plaza (San Carlos), Half Moon Bay, Burlingame, and Mountain View.
Santa Cruz: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History.
The World Cup kicks off on June 11 and runs through July 19.
