It came on the power play and was his third consecutive game with a goal. But the loss put the Kings into the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference with 5 games remaining for both teams. The Preds trail the Kings by 1 point and San Jose is on their heels, with a game in hand, 1 point below them.
The Ducks have lost 5 in a row but the Pacific Division is a “pillow fight,” as superstar Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers put it. Anaheim remains tied with Edmonton atop the division with Vegas 1 point behind them in third. The Ducks lost 5-3 to the Calgary Flames on Saturday as -150 home favorites as the Over (6.5) cashed. C Leo Carlsson scored his 27th goal of the campaign.

There’s a chance the Preds run Juuse Saros back in what is a critical game for their playoff positioning, but Annunen is expected on the back-to-back. Annunen has been good lately, going 2-4-0 but with a 2.21 GAA and .927 SV% in 6 March starts. He last faced Anaheim on March 20, 2025, and fell 4-1 but stopped 31 of 34 shots fired his way.
Dostal stopped 23 of 29 in a 6-2 home loss to the St. Louis Blues on Friday. He has now allowed 3+ goals in 4 straight and in 7 of 8. He stopped 26 of 28 shots Nashville fired his way in the 5-2 win on Oct. 21.

Nashville is on the fifth leg of a 6-game road trip and is playing on consecutive nights. This is the wrong time to catch a Ducks team that has lost 5 straight. They have monsters at the blue line, and they’re going to play physical. It’s just going to be too much for Nashville.
Take the DUCKS (-145).
There’s no play here. Instead, give me ROMAN JOSI OVER 2.5 SHOTS ON GOAL (-110). He had just 2 SOG Monday, but he had 4 in each of the previous 3 games. Look for him to point it from the point in hopes of a tip or rebound.
The Preds are 3-7 O/U in their last 10 while Anaheim is 6-4. The Ducks have allowed 20 goals in their last 4 games combined. So they’re not getting great crease control, and Nashville is a veteran team that could have tired legs.
